📌 How to Participate

1. Register anytime between September 15 – October 31.

2. Contribute six pull/merge requests (PR/MRs) on GitHub or GitLab between October 1 – October 31.

3. Make sure your PR/MR is in a repository with the “hacktoberfest” topic or has the “hacktoberfest-accepted” label.

4. Contributions must be accepted by maintainers and pass a 7-day review period.

🛡️ Keeping Quality High

Hacktoberfest has strong anti-spam measures to protect maintainers and keep contributions meaningful:

• Spam or low-quality PR/MRs will be flagged and won’t count.

• Draft PR/MRs don’t count until ready for review.

• Repositories designed for trivial contributions will be excluded.
